For in Him we move, breathe and have our being.

For in Him we move, breathe and have our being.

– Acts 17v28

Jesus has the most incredible way of showing up in our life, doesn’t He? He’s always been a part of my life but in recent years my relationship with Him has deepened in a way that’s quite literally taken my breath away.

I thought about the miracles, and the miracles that I could list here, but it’s actually not about that. It’s about the healing, love and pure joy that’s come from being in deep connection with my personal saviour. That’s truly where my joy resides.

And yoga has been a place where Jesus has met me on my mat. So many times.

And yoga has been a place where Jesus has met me on my mat. So many times.

In life’s inevitable cross roads. In a chronic condition diagnosis. In tears, when it felt like my life was falling apart.
On the mat is where Jesus has often revealed His grace, His peace and His deep love for me.

On the mat is where Jesus has often revealed His grace, His peace and His deep love for me.

It’s saved me from myself.

But it confused me. What on earth was Jesus doing on my yoga mat? Wasn’t yoga such a taboo thing for a Christian? Goodness, gracious the articles I’ve read on this. Let’s just say no. Yoga practiced with Jesus at the centre is everything He stands for. He longs to pull us into quiet places. Places where we are restored, healed and are quiet enough to hear His voice and feel His love.

So there begun my journey in figuring out how I could pull everything I loved about yoga into His presence.
How I could offer this place of quiet, of restoration and of healing to others.

I am now a Registered Christian Yoga Association Trainer (R-CYAT) and Certified Holy Yoga Trauma-Sensitive Instructor (C-HYI Trauma-Sensitive).

But there was more…

I felt in my yoga teaching the distinct need to move deeper. To support others in a deeper way in their quest for healing. Be it emotional, physical or spiritual healing. For this reason I am pursued my training as a Christian Yoga Therapist, through Holy Yoga. I have now qualified and specialise in yoga therapy for trauma.

I only work with 2 clients per month, and therefore my private slots are very limited. If you would like to work with me one-on-one, all details below.

Are you looking for deeper healing?

If you’re new to yoga and / or yoga therapy, take a read through my article here on just what it entails. It’s a beautiful journey! All of the below can be done online via zoom or at my studio in Bryanston, Johannesburg.

 Intake Session / ZAR 750.00, 1.5 hours

Prior to the intake session, you will receive a questionnaire to complete that provides me with a thorough understanding of your health history, and what concerns have brought you to seeking yoga therapy.

In the intake session we will work through your intake questionnaire, a body alignment assessment and an initial gentle yoga flow tailored to you and the therapeutic goals in mind for your yoga therapy sessions.

 Ongoing Sessions / ZAR 700.00, 1 hour

These can be paid for on as-needed basis. In these sessions we will work together, towards your therapeutic goals. Beforehand, I will ask you for an update on the homework you had – where you struggled and what insights you uncovered. This provides me with valuable information to prepare our session together, and get you closer to the therapeutic goals we have set.

 Packaged Sessions / ZAR 3 250.00

If you are new to me and / or yoga, this is a great place to start! Not only do you get your 5 sessions heavily discounted, we will have enough committed time together to work through your challenges and the therapeutic goals you would like to achieve. The packaged sessions consist of 1 x 1.5 hour Intake Session, and 4 x 1 hour Ongoing Sessions.
